Day 5 in a 40 Day Journey

A hike to 8000 feet feels fantastic and the view breathtaking.  A simple hike in the altitude is refreshing and a reminder of how a few hours away from civilization can bring back the awareness of the basic needs of life.  Water. Food. Sanitation.  The difference for us is that once we came back down the mountain – all was available in plenty. Sunset Park on dvd   As we often are reminded in our family, not so for the little ones in Africa, their pursuit for these basic needs is daily.

The team is on day 5 in the 40-day Journey from Coast 2 Coast. From cold temperatures in the mountains of Utah, across the Continental Divide, to Cheyenne, it’s a day across Wyoming.  Anxious to pick up additional WaterIsLife.com presentation materials in Cheyenne, we will prepare for our upcoming opportunities to share the story – a simple filter, a simple solution.

Picabo and Olivia spent their afternoon on their ‘road-school’ assignments; Language arts, science, math, history/geography, journaling and an occasional snack.  We are all enjoying To Kill A Mockingbird, and looking forward to our next appointment.  It’s time to Cowboy Up in Cheyenne, and
